We want our products to last a long time. That's why we are particularly careful with materials, fit, and manufacturing methods. Additionally, we only work with producers and manufacturers who share our ethical values regarding working conditions, animal welfare, and environmental impact.
Merino Wool Many of the yarns in our products are natural materials. Long before they became your favorite products, they were something else. The elastic and soft merino wool comes from merino sheep. All our merino wool yarns are non-mulesing. In our socks, we add a little polyamide for durability and elastane for fit.
Care Always follow the care instructions on the label! Machine wash on the wool program, 30°C. The wool program works like a basin in most machines, making it gentler on knitted wool garments. We recommend using liquid detergent. It's also good to use a laundry bag or a tied-up pillowcase to avoid damaging the fibers' surface. It's always worth investing in a wool detergent. Skip the spin cycle and instead place the item on a flat towel, roll it up, and gently press out the excess water. Then let it dry flat. Remember! Often, airing out your knitted socks, hats, or mittens is enough, preferably outdoors in humid weather. Store your wool products seasonally in sealed bags.
A Few Words about Pilling Pilling occurs when the excess fibers of natural yarns rub together. As you wear the products, the fibers are subjected to friction and clump together into small balls. Pilling can be easily removed by using your fingers or gently brushing with a regular clothes brush. Try not to let too many pills form, as they can wear down the product. With proper care, pilling will stop over time as the excess fibers are used up. Note! Never use so-called "pilling removal machines." They damage the products and cut the fibers, causing new pills to form.
